Awards: Business and Economics Co-op

These awards are given to recognize excellence in report writing. Undergraduate co-op students in their first work term, whether during the winter or spring work term, and whose reports are submitted by the deadline for that work term, are eligible to be considered for an award. This list is subject to change.

Dare Foods Limited “Brand Builder” Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually to the student in the SBE Co-op Option who is judged to have submitted
the best work report in the consumer packaged goods industry. Value: $500

The Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually by Equitable Life to the student in the SBE Co-op Option who is judged to have submitted the best work report relevant to the area of Human Resources. Value: $500

The KPMG Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually by KPMG to the chartered accounting student in the SBE Co-op Option who is judged to have submitted the best work report. Value: $300

The Colin McEwen Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually by Colin McEwen, a Co-op Co-ordinator, to a student in the Co-op Option employed in the public or not-for-profit sectors who is judged to have submitted the best work report. Value: $300

The Operations & Decision Science Work Report Award

Awarded annually by Laurier’s Operations & Decision Sciences area to the student in the SBE Co-op Option who is judged to have submitted the best overall work report in the Operations and Supply Chain Management discipline. Value: $500

Scotia Capital Work Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually by Scotia Capital Inc. to the student in the Co-op Option employed in a finance position who is judged to have completed the best work report. Value: $500

Waterloo-Wellington Chartered Accountants Association Co-operative Education Work Report Award

Awarded annually by the Waterloo-Wellington CA Association to two chartered accounting students in the SBE Co-op Option employed in the Waterloo-Wellington area who are judged to have submitted the best work reports. Value: Two awards of $100
