Writing Work Term Reports

These guidelines are for co-op students in Business, Economics, and Double Degree Co-op, and PEP. ( Laurie Lahn will send special guidelines to co-op students in graduate programs.)

When writing the report, ask yourself what you wish someone had told you about this position and organization before you started. Your report can also help co-ordinators assess the suitability of your co-op position for future students.

Undergraduate students submit work reports through Navigator.

• Your report’s success will be based on both content and presentation.
• Reviewers will evaluate your understanding of your role in the organization and your analysis of issues.
• We will also check whether you have used a clear, concise writing style.
• You may enhance your report by including charts, photographs and graphics.
• The bulk of the report should be written expressly for this assignment, not for your job.
• Please submit only your own, original work; we will use anti-plagiarism software.
