Work Term Ethics |
|
In signing the Confirmation of Employment form you will agree to abide by all the rules, regulations and policies of your employers during work terms. You will also agree to abide by all ethical and legal guidelines, including those concerning the use of computers.
Please read, and follow, these additional guidelines on work term ethics:
Maintain Confidentiality
Some employers, especially those in health and social services, require you to sign an oath of confidentiality in order to protect the rights of their clients. Even if your employer does not require a signed declaration, however, it is a good practice to avoid discussing your organization’s business, clients and competitors outside the workplace.
Stick to Business
Honour Your Commitment
Declare Conflicts of Interest
If you are in a position to bring profit to a friend or relative through work, please declare a conflict of interest and refrain from participating.
