Parents of Laurier Co-op Students

We look forward to working with your sons and daughters, and we encourage you to speak with them about their participation in Laurier Co-op. (Due to confidentiality legislation, we can’t answer your questions about your child’s specific situation.)

Finding a co-op job can take time. Here is a link to charts showing typical employment rates by month for the spring work term.

Please see the links below for information about the co-op policies that students agree to follow when accepting enrolment in co-op.

Co-op Fees

  • All co-op students pay an administrative fee in addition to regular tuition. This fee helps the University to recover a portion of the cost of maintaining and promoting the co-op programs. Laurier does not receive any government assistance to operate co-op.
  • The co-op fee is not an employment fee, and is payable whether or not students obtain an approved work term position.
  • Fees are payable at Laurier’s Business Office, which is located at 202 Regina Street.
  • See co-op fees for information about about the co-op fees for specific programs, including the timing of fee payments and the refund schedule for students who withdraw from co-op.
