What Not to Include on a Co-op Resume

Employment goals may restrict your options, so don’t use them when applying to co-op job postings. You may include goals on any resumes you print for your own personal job search.

References

Don’t include references in your resume. Some employers contact references, but only after they’ve met you, so bring a list to job interviews. State each person’s name, title, employment address and phone number. You can vary the references to suit the job. (We recommend that Arts Co-op and Science Co-op students include two employers and one faculty member.)
