Interviews

Please check the interview schedules daily until you are employed. You will find them through Navigator and on the bulletin boards in the Co-op Office.

• When you see that you have been “selected for an interview” please press the “confirm interview” button so we know that you are aware of the interview. (Please remember that you are obliged to attend any interview for which you have been scheduled.)
• Most interviews will take place on the lower floor of the Centre for Co-operative Education and Career Development at 192 King Street North. Telephone interviews are usually on the top floor.
  
• Please check the interview schedule posted near the waiting area on the lower level.
  
• We usually assign one day schedule one day for interviews in Toronto. If you apply to co-op job postings for companies in the GTA, you may be required to travel there on that day.
  
• We cannot avoid scheduling interviews during class time, but we do try to vary your interview times to avoid making you miss the same class repeatedly.
• Please let us know your exam schedule. Let us know if we inadvertently schedule an interview that conflicts with an exam, or if you anticipate missing an interview for another valid reason, such as illness or family emergency. Failure to attend an interview without a valid reason may result in your suspension from future on-campus interviews.
• After the primary interview period some employers may find it inefficient to visit campus to interviews only a few students, so you may be asked to attend interviews at an employer’s premises. Occasionally, employers offer to reimburse students for travel costs.
