Apply Online for Admission to Co-op

We will begin accepting applications in March  from full-time students enrolled in second-year arts, science, business or economics* at the honours level. We will accept applications until Monday, September 17, 2012.

The application deadline is Monday of the second week of classes in a student’s second year. We do not accept late applications.

(*Students in the Honours Applied Economics program are not eligible to apply for co-op.)

Students in double degree programs, please follow steps 1, 2, and 4 to enrol in co-op.

Steps in Applying

  1. For students who will be in second year as of September 2012: We will begin accepting applications for admission to co-op in March 2012 by activating the application link; you will click on the application link to reach the login screen. Your Laurier student ID is your login and your password is your LORIS password. (The application deadline is Monday of the second week of classes in a student’s second year.)

  2. After logging in and accessing your home page on Navigator, click the red "co-op" button at the top of the page. You will reach the co-op application page where you choose the co-op program to which you wish to apply.

  3. If you select Arts Co-op or Science Co-op, you will be requested to specify your major(s).

  4. Choose “Submit Application”; you may verify your submission by logging back in and confirming that your information has been saved. You will also receive an email to your Laurier account, confirming your application has been received.

  5. Please contact us at 519.884.0710 ext. 4484 if you need to revise your application due to changing your program.

  6. Track your application status by accessing your account through the application link and by checking your email, beginning in August. Please go to the marks page to see the minimum GPA requirements for students applying to Business and Economics Co-op and for those applying to Arts Co-op and Science Co-op.

    (Applicants to Business and Economics Co-op required an overall GPA of at least 8.0 in first year to be granted an admission interview in 2011.)

  7. We contact undergraduate applicants by email, beginning in August. You will learn whether you have met the minimum GPA required to be eligible for an admission interview. If you are eligible, you will also receive information about scheduling an admission interview.

    The deadline for scheduling interviews for admission to Arts Co-op or Science Co-op was September 20, 2011.

    The deadline for scheduling interviews for admission to Business and Economics Co-op was September 26, 2011.

(Note: If you have trouble reaching our system to apply or to schedule an interview, please see Troubleshooting Problems with System to try to resolve the problem. The application process will begin in March.)
