Using the Ranking Screen in the Jobs Module of Navigator

Your individual ranking screen indicates:

  1. Your job number in Navigator and the number of positions for which you are ranking students at Laurier. The number of positions dictates how many #1 rankings you will be able to enter online. It is very important to contact us before your submission deadline if the number shown on the screen is incorrect because it determines how many of your positions will be submitted in the computerized match and it specifies the number of Laurier students you have committed to hire through the match.

  2. Location of the co-op job.

  3. Work term commitment. Students are committed for one four-month work term except in the case of chartered accounting and actuarial firms which stipulate, at the time of ranking, that they require a two work term commitment.

  4. Work term duration. Most positions are four months; those of a longer period are available only on a limited basis and only during the May to December time frame.

  5. Weekly co-op salary. Please update this information and it will be provided to interviewees.

Please contact the Co-op Office immediately if any of the information on your ranking screen is incorrect (before you submit on-line rankings), to ensure accurate information is provided to students when they are ranking.
