Step-By-Step Ranking Instructions

  1. You may rank as #1 only one student per position.

  2. Please rank consecutively, starting at 1 and leaving no gaps.

  3. You may have multiple second choices, multiple third choices, and so on, as you see fit. We encourage you to cluster your ranks and rank as many students as possible to improve your chances of being matched with a student.

  4. Ranking a student means that you are COMMITTED to hiring a student, should you be matched with one.

  5. If you feel there are any unsuitable candidates, please indicate this by selecting “Not Willing To Hire” beside their names.

  6. To help students make informed ranking decisions, we let them know if they have been ranked #1, if they have not been ranked, and if they have been ranked but not as a #1 ranking. (In the latter situation the student is not told the specific ranking of the employer.)

  7. Please contact the Co-op Office if you are interviewing and/or ranking for MORE OR FEWER positions than advertised on your ranking screen or you will be unable to submit accurate rankings on-line.

  8. Please include the weekly co-op salary; this information will be provided to the students you have interviewed.

  9. Click on the Save Ranking button at the bottom of the ranking screen when you have completed your rankings. If you do not follow the ranking instructions after clicking Submit, you will be directed to revise your rankings. You may access and change your rankings as often as you like before the submission deadline. Once the deadline has passed, you will not be able to access the ranking form. The rankings you have submitted most recently before the deadline will be final and will be used to complete the matching process.

  10. Once you have conducted interviews, please do not contact your applicants until we have communicated the results of the match to you.
