Advertising

 

Employers are welcome to provide posters to promote your organization in the Career Centre. We will post one poster in our Resource Centre and a few on campus on the Career Centre bulletin boards. Employers interested in posting advertising materials elsewhere on campus are required to have the posters stamped by the Career Centre and the Dean of Students’ Office and are responsible for posting them on campus. Due to the volume of advertising, the Career Centre is unable to place posters on campus beyond our bulletin boards.

Student Newspaper – The Cord

 

The Cord is the student newspaper, published every Wednesday, September to March. Deadline for submission is Friday at noon prior to the Wednesday publication. Advertising rates range from $60 to $1,195. For more information, contact:

Laurier’s Student Publications department also publishes 2 student handbooks (one for the Waterloo campus and one for the Brantford campus), a student newspaper for the Brantford campus (The Sputnik), Blueprint Magazine (4 issues per year) and The Atrium (2 issues per year). Employers are able to reserve space in high-traffic areas on campus through the Career Centre. Space is limited due to high demand so please book at least 2 months in advance of desired date(s). If you are interested in reserving display space for Graduating Student Employment opportunities, please contact Joy Mitchell. If you are interested in reserving display space for Summer/Part-time Employment opportunities, please contact Karen Everett.

 

 

Attending Career Fair in September and/or Job Fair in February is a great way to advertise your employment opportunities and meet prospective applicants.
