Sector Councils

Sector councils are industry-led partnerships between workers, employers, educators and governments, all working together to ensure Canadians have what they need to be successful in the labour market.  They are involved in identifying skills and human resource shortages and developing and implementing solutions in each sector.

Among many other roles, the sector councils educate workers about the most recent career information for each sector. This could include career possibilities, skills that are in demand, internship programs and training options, all of which can be helpful in the process of deciding your career direction.
